WELCOME to my blog page! I'm so ecstatic to share with you what you'll find is my envisioning of contemporary music with some Christian flair. Here on Surrender your Cards, you'll primarily find original compositions in which I combine what's thought of as the more classical as well as the popular; the minimal, as well as the more ornamental; the contemporary worship structures and secular; the electronic and the acoustic.  My works are influenced by musicians such as the Japanese pianist-composer Ryuichi Sakamoto and, very heavily so, Debussy (who influenced him), but not without some other stylistic considerations from today (prog rock, video game, chip-tune and electronic music). I aspire to be a voice from within God's people with the music I create as a composer. There Must Be More: "MORE" - 09

Instrumental based on: Addressing the good Pastor,/ "Isn't it about surrendering, then?" I think./ "Proceed," He spoke, "in the promotion/ Of Jesus, your Lord, your payed-for portion."/ Learning that there is even liberty/ In not rejecting so glorious an option/ (Option so glorious)/ Glorious portion/ I praise Him, He payed for me/ Your sun shines over me and brings peace/ If anything I know, it is that you are more/ More, more, more, more, more/ More than a story/ More than a song/ You are neither euphoria/ Nor error/ It is basic to sustain/ That you created sky and sea/ How greatly is the One who is alive worshipped/ You helped me understand/ My origin and destiny/ How not to praise the God who is more/  --- Originally this was meant to be much slower, but it took a life of its own and I just wrote it out

I am very excited to present the full conceptual art for Chromera Chroma (2024), which is to be released as inspiring the music of each piece to be composed in the album! Full release of cover art for conceptual album Chromera Chroma (2024): https://www.facebook.com/reel/1274340126947922/?app=fbl Each photo will give rise to an overall color palette in the mix of photos that is Chromera Chroma, “chromera” coming from the combination of the mediums of expression (music and art) and “chroma” for the colors or moods evoked from each piece with its respective artistic photograph. In short, there is one art piece and a musical theme to go along with it which can include the musical variations or stylistically gradations in the themes present for the album. Similar photos will most likely prove to maintain similarly crafted themes as opposed to each of the themes more distinctive counterparts. Based on the following lyrics: Though the enemy shows no love/ Not the Rock of our salvation/ Though the enemy wants to see undone/ Not the Rock of our salvation/ Not our God/ His name is Jesus/ Precious, what your dexterous/ Hand endeavors/ It's your love that paid for my sin/ Can't wash off the power of/ Your mercy sweet/ Your blood, my victory/ People, to the Lamb sing/ Sing/ Identity resounds so fair/ Forever rings true in Him/ All of my rags pale in comparison/ All that I want is to be in Him/ --- I had this idea for People to be very intense dynamically and harmonically, but instead of doing that, and because I did not have a piano sadly, I went for more of dubstep/prog feel.
